Final Christmas project!

I normally make my own Christmas cakes because I just love decorating them, but I knew I wouldn't have time this year. I happened to mention this to a friend and the next thing I know she's turned up with a Christmas cake on my doorstep! Hooray (thanks again D!). I still didn't have much time, so this isn't particularly "in depth"! But I enjoyed doing it (and eating it!!).

Another Christmas project!

My sister-in-law had asked me to do one of my "swirly" paintings for her for Christmas, which was great - her birthday is three weeks after Christmas and it's always hard to find two presents for her around the same time, so this allowed me to give her the painting for Christmas and a present for her birthday!

Christmas cards!

Every year I forget to take photos of all my Christmas cards! I remembered at the last minute this, just before writing on these too, so I took a quick photo. Shame really as I did a lot more varied ones than this. Nevermind! I do like doing the Christmas cards as it's not a job lot of the same card, you can mix things up and use different things!

My other Christmas project...

A friend asked me to paint a picture for her Mum for her 70th birthday just after Christmas. She liked lilacs/purples and poppies. I found a lilac-ish photo of a Himalyan poppy, so went for that. Was quite pleased with the result. I haven't painted in over a year, and this was my first effort in that time. Not a particularly good photo, but I was in a bit of a rush to get it posted off to her!

Been Busy!

Christmas is always a bit mental lol, especially with small children, but I also had a couple of projects on the go. The first one was finishing off everything for Abi's wedding just a couple of days before Christmas. I had name cards, table name cards and a wedding plan to do. I really enjoyed doing them, especially the table plan, am getting quite addicted to doing those!
